Liquid Handcuffs

Liquid Handcuffs
by J.S. Lambert

Abundance of devices.
So many flavors.
Seeking to serve.
Pain lies beneath black secrets,
accompanied only by guilt.
Too difficult to juggle.
Simple to dilute.
The decision effortless.
  Chemicals chased the hurt away.

Using drugs is overrated. The goverment tries to fool us and scare every body and then they keep the money. That's why they should LEGALIZE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YO!!

Sounds like a dual paradigm for date rape. First a person may use these things to get what he wants. Then the victim spends the rest of her life using them to forget what he took from her.

I love your interpretation of my poem, but it is YOUR interpretation (and that's great). That's what I love about poems and writing in general; it's up for the reader's discernment. Fortunately, that interpretation is so far from what I actually wrote the poem about. Nice though. I always enjoy learning what other people see.
